The Eastern Health Long-Term Care program oversees placement to cottage units located at the following sites:

The goal of the program is to provide affordable housing to older adults with disabilities and seniors on limited incomes.

Admission is based on assessed need and not length of time waiting. The Eastern Health cottage application (PDF) provides details on eligibility criteria.

Saint Luke’s Homes, St. John’s

These housing options are owned and operated by Anglican Homes Incorporated.  Saint Luke’s Homes offers seniors, 60 years of age and above, the opportunity for continued independent living, while at the same time providing an opportunity to live in a safe environment where the spirit of community is alive and well. There are 48 one-bedroom cottages, and six two-bedroom cottages. At the Bishop Meaden Manor, there are 22 two-bedroom townhouses and two apartment buildings that have one- and two-bedroom apartments.

The Salvation Army Glenbrook Villa, St. John’s

The Salvation Army Glenbrook Villa is a two story senior’s apartment building made up of one and two bedroom apartments.
