Deciding to move to a residential facility can be a difficult process for you and your loved ones.

This section contains information for families and individuals who may be considering long-term care. On these pages, you can learn more about planning, decision making, financial subsidies and other common questions about long-term care.

At Eastern Health, we believe that asking questions and developing a good plan will help you and your family adjust to the change. We also recommend that you prepare for decision making by completing an advanced health-care directive (AHCD) and Power of Attorney prior to admission.
